These are the sketches I did for the cover you've seen on the previous post. They were too "cartoon" and didn't fit the story. They're for the blog now.Ci-dessus, les différentes étapes par lesquelles une illustration peut passer avant sa finalisation. L'ensemble était trop "cartoon" pour le public visé et ne correspondait pas au ton de l'histoire. Ce qui explique le résultat final.

Perso j'aime bien le côté cartoon mais c'est une question de goût !
Le style de l'illu finale est bien sympa aussi, pour moi il est juste un peu dommage que le dauphin soit plus statique !

Dude, that dolphin jumping out of the water on the top picture is gonna knock himself the f*ck out when he lands, because he's obviously heading right for the sand. :D

Very nice sketches, and as many here, I do prefer the drafts to the finished verion. they look a lot more genuine and have that little "dreamy" something to them.
